Moses was such a man that exemplified this, with all the details in Exodus, he obeyed all God commanded him and also led the people to do things as the Lord commanded. Note, God does not give you advice, but commands. Don’t let the men working with you turn divine commands into divine suggestion as if you are doing your own things.

If you allow this to happen, you will lose your favour with God. The first thing that God demands in a leader is strength. Don’t be democratic in spiritual leadership. Adam failed God because he did not lead his wife into the details of the commands that God gave him, to the extent that he hearkened to the voice of his wife against the commandment of God.

Never allow people to make you a replacement for God’s choice. There are two kinds of leaders: (a) Moses type: God made, God backed and (b) Aaron type: Man made, Man backed.

A Moses type needs and looks for divine support. An Aaron type needs and looks for human support. Associates can easily fall into this role of Aaron. People pleasers also become calf makers for the people. This is one of the dangers and traps that a spiritual leader can fall into when he doesn’t know who his loyalty should be towards. Never trade the presence and commands of God who chose you, for the camaraderie of people you should serve!
