I am really surprised and shocked that a corrupt Nigerian Politician was actually arrested, tried, found guilty and then sentenced to serve some time [14 years] in prison for fraud. I would say this is a total depature from what we have come to know as the Nigerian form of justice. Normally cases like this would take forever to even be put on the docket and by the time it comes to trial, all witnesses and evidence against the defendant would have disappeared. Kudos to the judge who had the "hutzpah" to even try him and find him guilty in the first place.

The sentence is 2,5,7&14 that's 28yrs separately but all to run concurrently which means the maximum year is 14yrs

*Vow To Make Taraba Produce Nigeria’s First Female Governor On APC’s Ticket

Taraba State is set to produce the first female governor in Nigeria as political stakeholders led by former governor Rev Jolly Nyame rally forces to give victory to the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Senator Aisha Alhassan.

Reports from Jalimgo are indicating that Nyame had already led top members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Taraba State to decamp into the APC.

Nyame, supported by former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon Babangida Saidu Nguroje and others took the decision to
leave the PDP about a week ago.

They were said to have hinged their decampment into APC on the interest
of the state and the need to make the state break record as the first to produce the first female governor in Nigeria.

candidate was a serving Senator before joining the governorship race in her state, amid reports that she at the moment commands tremendous good will from all segments of Taraba state, politically.
