Olorunda North LCDA Embarks On 2nd Phase Of Grading And Expansion Of Roads

In continuation of his developmental strides across Olorunda North Local Council Development Area (LCDA), the Honourable Quadri Owonikoko-led administration in the council area has embarked on the grading of some roads in Osogbo, Oba Oke and Oba-Ile communities.

Addressing the newsmen at the flag-off of the grading exercise, Owonikoko said, the rationale behind the grading of roads was to ensure easy access for the people of the two communities and their suburbs.

According to the Chairman, the road network would encourage those who have landed properties in the area to develop it and subsequently develop the economy of the area.

He, however, appealed to the people of Olorunda North to regularly pay their taxes and dues accordingly with a view to ensuring that the administration extends the hands of development to other parts of the council.

The road graded and bulldozing were Ọba-Oke to Egbedore boundary Oba-Oke, Oke-Odo road to Ikirun boundary Oba-Ile, grading of Gbodo and Idiamu Road, Ọba-Oke, grading and bulldozing of Olorunsogo to Okinni road, grading of Agunbelewo to Lagada estate at Ajisebiyawo Community, Osogbo.

The Vice Chairman Hon Musbau Ajisebiyawo and Councilor Representing Ward 9B, Hon Olawale John Akinjide commended the leadership style of Owonikoko, described him as a man of the people and lover of development.

Reacting on behalf of Oba-Ile Community, Pastor Solomon Olayinka and Alfa Hammed Alekuwodo appreciate the administration of Owonikoko for the unprecedented projects being embarked upon, described the council boss as God-sent. They also appreciate Governor Rauf Aregbesola for creating additional LCDAs; say the gesture has boosted development in the area.
