SUPER EAGLES DEPART NIGERIA FOR LONDON, TO PLAY ENGLAND FRIENDLY
Nigeria’s Super Eagles left Nigeria on Wednesday afternoon to the United Kingdom, in preparation for the 2018 FIFA World Cup, which kicks off on June 14 in Russia.
Nigeria will play with England on Saturday, June 2 and then leave for Austria before embarking on the journey to Russia, where they will face Croatia on June 16.
According to NFF.com, Skipper Mikel John Obi was joined on the chartered flight from Abuja to London on Wednesday by deputy skipper Ogenyi Onazi, defender Kenneth Omeruo, pacy winger Ahmed Musa and 21 other players.

MOHAMED SALAH NOT ‘ANGRY’ WITH SERGIO RAMOS
Mohamed Salah is not “angry” with Sergio Ramos over the tackle that has put his World Cup hopes in jeopardy.
Salah was injured after a tangle with Ramos in the Champions League final at the weekend.
The pair locked arms as they fell to the ground, with Salah taking the brunt of the weight on his shoulder.

ROBERT LEWANDOWSKI WANTS TO LEAVE BAYERN – AGENT
The agent of Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski – a reported transfer target for Real Madrid – has said his client wishes to leave the club.
The Poland international joined the Bavarians from Borussia Dortmund in 2014 and has since netted 151 goals in 195 appearances, winning four successive league titles.
“Robert feels that he needs a change and a new challenge in his career,” Pini Zahavi, the striker’s agent, is cited in quotes carried by Associated Press.

ENGLAND’S JORDAN PICKFORD: I’M READY TO TAKE WORLD CUP SHOOTOUT PENALTY
Goalkeeper Jordan Pickford has said he is ready to take a crucial penalty in a World Cup shootout for England and revealed that the players have had mock shootouts, with players walking from the halfway line to re-create the matchday process.
Everton’s Pickford said he was as prepared to try his luck from the spot as he was to make a match-winning save.
“If I need to step up, I’ll take one. I’ve got no issue with that,” the 24-year-old said at St George’s Park.
