Nigerians Is Disappointed By Buhari For Not Fulfilled His 2015 Promises – Osunto by Sparkben: 12:51pm On Jun 04, 2018
Mr. Akin Osuntokun, former Political Adviser to President Olusegun Obasanjo has said President Muhammadu Buhari disappointed the intelligentsia who supported his candidacy in 2015.

He also said it is sad that having failed to meet expectations of the masses, the Buhari Presidency cannot be redeemed since it has continued to deny the reality of its failures.

Osuntokun, who also served in the Umaru Yar’Adua administration as the director-general of the News Agency of Nigeria, NAN, further accused President Buhari of insincerity in his fights against corruption; saying the NNPC which the President took charge of has become an organisation of fraud.

"I accept Buhari has not done anything for Nigeria in the last 3yrs of his administration, but come 2019, some of these will be on his CV.
- All salary arrears paid up
- All contractual debts paid up
- All Pension arrears paid up
- All money owed Biafran war veterans paid off
- Almost known treasury leakages sealed up
- Treasury thieves being investigated and prosecuted
- Recession overcome within one year
- The foreign reserve keeps growing despite low oil price
- Inflation is reducing
- The Capital market rated highest globally
- The ease of doing business rated high
- Greatly reduced food import bills
- Greatly increased Internal Revenue Generation drive
- Revamped and more effective tax regime
- More efficient and more responsible Civil Service
- All Federal roads being reconstructed across the Country
- Fast rails being constructed between the state capitals
- Gas pipeline being laid from South to Abuja, Kaduna and Kano
- 13 Modular Refineries being built in ND
- Private Financing for our three Refineries being negotiated
- Private Refineries to collocate with the existing Refineries being concluded
- Influx of foreign companies increasing
- Increased investments by domestic investors
- The Electricity Generating capacity at 7000 MW
- Transmission Capacity at 7000 MW
- Distribution capacity being restructured to inject more capital and expertise
- The economy of Nigeria being Restructured from oil based to Agric, Solid Mineral and Manufacture based
- Boko Haram now a distant ding in the orchestra of general quietude
- IPOB now a mute idea ready for discussions at the right time
- Niger Delta Avengers now reduced from a movement to Madam’s Patie military wing for retaining her loot.
- Military vehicles sourced from a Nigeria car manufacturer for the first time
These are not propositions; all these and more will be on the Curriculum Vitae of PMB in the 2019 Presidential Elections. And he did not achieve these by fluke, he was deliberate; the economy he inherited was dire. The country was running on one cylinder and the engine had just coughed its last, the engine was dead and the ”plane” was adrift.
I know all these achievements won’t make meaning to wailers because they are not putting money directly into your pockets. I know that is the only achievements Nigerians recognise. The amount of money individuals grab into their pockets.
Orderliness is more vital than speed"

Mr. Akin Osuntokun, has said President Muhammadu Buhari disappointed the intelligentsia who supported his candidacy in 2015.I don't know how true this is, because from my research, president Buhari has been fulfilling all his promises. but the fact still remains that four years is too short for this administration to fulfill its promises to Nigerians. this administration has being able to introduce positive mind blowing polices policies to eradicate poverty and corruption; Nigeria Economy has recovered a lot from the contraption we suffered in 2016(recession). inflation has fallen for the 15th consecutive month from 18.7% in January 2017 to 12.5% as of April..External reserve has double in 5 years to $47.5b.,Total export in 2017 increased to 59.47%,Agricultural export increased to 180.7%,Raw Material export increased to 154.2%,solid minerals export increased to 565%,Manufacturing also increased to 26.8% and the list goes on.

Speak for yourself. In a bid to get some cash recognition, you run up and down the pillar putting up articles to tear down the buhari-led administration. You can't possibly draw the conclusion that Nigerians are disappointed that PMB had not fulfilled his 2015 promises. Which promises, as long as am concerned, there have been major landmarks recorded in economy development and in fighting corruption and insecurity

What can we expect from an opposition who is obviously fighting for selfish interest....This is a government that have put many measures in place to fight corruption like the Whitleblowing policy, increased oversight of MDAs, The Presidential Initiative on Continuous Audit and expansion of the TSA coverage. some successful Millitary operations accross the country to tackle security issues are:
1) Operation Lafiya Dole, and Operation Last Hold, to defeat Boko Haram in the Northeast
2) Operation Whirl Stroke, operating in Benue, Nasarawa, Taraba and Zamfara states, to tackle the menace of armed herdsmen, cattle rustlers, communal militias, kidnappers and other bandits.
3) Exercise Crocodile Smile I (September 2016) and II (October 2017) to curtail the menace of militant activities in the Niger Delta. E.T.C.
The Economy is not left out as it has seen numerous growth as well. The Buhari administration's priority sectors of Agriculture and Solid Minerals maintained consistent growth throughout the recession.Inflation fell for the fifteenth consecutive month, from from 18.7% in january 2017 to 12.5% as of April 2018.
