The Project which started in 2012 by HE Henry Seriake Dickson with a 3.5 kilometers runway which is said to be amongst the best in the country
Once completed, the airport will provide connections between the rapidly-growing state and the rest of Nigeria, and neighbouring regions.

Dickson said the airport project which was the brainchild of his administration has now been scheduled for completion by the second quarter of this year as the earlier date for completion (2019) is too late.

Everyone is praising pdp and governor Dickson on this project. What happened under GEJ when the was so much money. I still believe that the fear of PMB is the beginning of development in Nigeria.

I'm sorry but the building looks very basic for one of the richest oil states in Nigeria. They could have at least gotten an architect to come up with an inspired design.

Good but it shouldn't be labelled International.

What's the qualifying criteria for International?

I have been to International Airports smaller than this that host hundreds of thousands of International passengers per year.

They can call it what they want, the koko is whether there is demand from international passengers which I doubt.

Better alternative to reach Bayelsa than to go through the bad road ..complete it fast and get rid of bad boys in the land so investors and tourists can come in..

After this, many of the south south states will build airports. This is the kind of good news that goes unnoticed. Great job Dickson

Stealing opportunity. No running water, no decent schools, no decent hospitals and he is building an airport.
this is the problem with irú African leaders. I saw dis and I'm like, what does a state like Bayelsa need an airport for when citizens are yet to get good hospitals, roads and schools? This is just like a poor man whose kids are unable to attend good schools going about celebrating party to celebrate a birthday. Africa has no future.
