President Buhari declared June 12 as the new Democracy day and decided to confer a posthumous honor of Grand Commander of the Order of the Federal Republic (GCFR) to Late Chief Moshood Kashimawo Olawale Abiola, CFR, and Late Chife Chief Abdul-Ganiyu “Gani” Oyesola Fawehinmi, civil rights lawyer, author, philanthropist, social critic, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria.

Nigerians have taken to social media to air out their views about the decison of the prsident. This caused MKO ABIOLA to trend on twitter. Checkout Nigerians reaction on twitter below:

In 2015, GEJ did something to woo some Nigerians towards the election period by giving presidential pardons to Diya and Alamieyeseigha. However, virtually all Nigerians ignored that because it never meant anything to them. Now PMB is doing something similar but more acceptable to majority of Nigerians, even among the oppositions. Who said Baba is not coming back?
