Premier League star Fred has been injured In Brazil's training ahead of the 2018 World days after joining Manchester United.

The 25-year-old who recently agreed a £52m transfer to Old Trafford from Shakhtar Donetsk this week, was seen receiving treatment during Brazil's latest training.

Fred appeared to have sustained the injury in his right ankle after tangling with Casemiro and was pictured sad as it was iced and strapped up.

Sportdab.com.ng report Brazil national team doctor has provided an update on his injury and said:

“It all depends on the answer tomorrow. If tomorrow he continues in pain and some signal makes us more alert, we may need an imaging examination, but there is no strategy whether it will be here or in Austria.Tomorrow we will have a clearer possibility.

“He has had an ankle trauma, but it is still too early for any evaluation, he has already begun the recovery work, he had that part in real pain. It’s early for any diagnosis, we need to wait for more. The first 24 hours are crucial, tomorrow we will see how he will feel, the response to treatment, whether he will train or not.”
