What Obasanjo, Buhari Should Do – Bode George Reacts To Ex-president’s Claims by 13Ebiscoo: 11:18am On Jun 10, 2018
A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party and former military governor of Ondo State, Chief Olabode George, has asked President Muhammadu Buhari and ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo to sheathe their swords in respect of national interest.

The statement is sequel to Obasanjo’s allegation that Buhari administration was planning to frame him up for arrest and detention over his critical views about the government.

Obasanjo had alleged in a statement on Friday that the Buhari-led Government was trying to frame him up so as to be prosecuted and detained.

In reaction, Minister of information, Lai Mohammed said the Buhari administration will not be distracted by “frivolous allegations from any quarter, especially those cleverly choreographed to divert attention from a widely-acclaimed presidential proclamation and to shore up support for a waning and egotistical cause.”

However, George in a statement on Saturday urged both parties to stop the war of attrition, noting that, ”The military do not wash their dirty linens in the open.”

Lamenting about the public spat between the former president and the government, George said, “As a military man, I know these senior officers very well. I have worked at close quarters with the two of them.

“I have no doubt about their selfless commitments to our nation.

“I am appealing to the two personages, as a junior officer, to sheath their swords and resolve their differences behind the curtain. That is the military style. We don’t wash our dirty linens in the open.

“I took Obasanjo’s statement about the threat to his life with conscionable, natural concern.

“I have also read the presidency’s rejoinder, which implied that there is nothing sinister in their motives.”

OBJ is one man that had before time, given room for discourtesy over himself due to his political greed....

He should learn to speak less....

He should also learn to be less greedy and selfish......

Buhari will do anything and will shut anybody that will stand on his way for a reelection.... OBJ should be more technical if he still wants to be relevant in Nigeria's political spheres.....

Now that the Yoruba's are celebrating with Buhari over his June12 stance on MKO awarding....They should also remember that MKO was betrayed and dumped by the Fulani's....

We need a JJ rawlings of Nigeria or atleast we should have left all these men in the 1980''s where they belong and can freely spew tribal sentiments instead of this ex con to hide in shame he is openly making noise in saner climes he should have committed suicide due to shame.

The only thing Buhari cares about now is his second tenure.... Anything or anyone that comes inbetween must be eliminated...
Obasanjo is a threat.. He must be made corrupt in the eyes of the world and trust the Yoruba Muslims to add the final nail on the coffin

His Excellence, President Mohammadu Buhari (GCFR), need to add Obasanjo to the list where FFK, Fayose, Remo and Twitter Senator belongs,

Just Ignore the rants and move on.

A lot of work needs to be done with regards to available time and vision 2023.

Nonesense!

They should wash their stinking linen in the public.

Buhari's bad ridance to Obasanjo's good rubish!

Who sponsored the coup against Buhari? It's an assignment for you. By the time you find out the answer, you will realize (if you are honest) that Buhari is a very forgiving man

Buhari is STRONG. Why?

The skewed and lopsided 36 states + Abuja political structure of Nigeria with a whooping number of 19 states proliferated in Fulani-controlled northern region - the political-over-representation therefrom for northern politicians emboldens the Buharis and makes them rugged politicians.
So since OBJ and GEJ govts did not restructure Nigeria politically, who cares as Buhari has excessive powers to jail both?

OBJ govts cleared Buhari of the $2.8 billion oil money stashed away when Buhari was oil minister in the 1970s

GEJ chickened out on hearing the name Buhari seriously challenging him. After he abdicated the throne, GEJ said he was like in cage all the 16 years he was in Govt House.

NOW BUHARI IS IN CHARGE.
