If Nigerian media don't end up setting Nigeria on fire with sensational news headlines & reports akin to beer parlor gossips, nothing will set the country on �; not even PMB and his sometimes mouth diarhea.

I was expecting to see the alleged robbers caught by vigilantes in Benue as "Tiv robbers" or "Idoma robbers", alas, what I read was just 'bandits' with no ethnic affiliation.

If these same men had been Fulani, the headline would've mostly likely read "Fulani robbers" or something of that nature.

Worse still, if these alleged robbers had succeeded in their mission & people were probably killed, news headlines tomorrow would've screamed "Fulani herdsmen continue killing spree in Benue".

Can Nigerian media please be circumspect with its reports on the ongoing killings especially in Benue? While there's no doubt that some Fulani herdsmen are responsible, there's also no doubt that some purveyors of evil have hijacked the situation for a predetermined end; and these people are likely not Fulanis.
