Herders attack villagers in South and North Darfur
Five people, including two women, were wounded in two separate attacks by armed herders in East Jebel Marra in South Darfur and Tawila locality in North Darfur on Friday. “Herders attack villagers“.

About 13 armed herders riding on camels and wearing military uniforms ambushed a group of people who were on their way to a water well in the area of Sawani, 10 kilometres north of El Malam on Friday morning. “They beat us with their rifle butts and whips. Hawa Saleh, Ali Haroun, and Adam Omar were wounded,” one of the victims told Radio Dabanga.

“They took our 12 goats and four donkeys and left towards El Malam.” In another incident, a group of militant herders severely beat a number of farmers at Dubo El Madrasa in Tawila locality (popularly known as eastern Jebel Marra).

“The supporter of APC told us that if we would return to our farms they would kill us,” one of the farmers told this station. “Sara Ibrahim and Nurelsham Hamid were seriously wounded.” ....
