Asia : Iran, South Korea, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Australia, 5 out of 41
Africa : Nigeria , Egypt , Senegal, Tunisia, Morocco, 5 out of 54 (the highest)
north America : Mexico, Costa Rica, Panama 3 out of 23

south America : Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina, Columbia, Peru a whopping 5 out of a migre 12

Can someone explain why their are much more countries from Europe in the World Cup than any other continent? And why South America with a migre 12 countries is getting 5 whole slots...

because some of the best football leagues are in Europe.... and if you compare it to the amount of countries there are in Europe, thats not that much (compared to South America).

now let us not even try to comapre the fantastic football leagues in South America and Europe with the rubbish leagues in Asia/Africa/North America etc

it does, just like the champions league, some countries have their 4 best teams qualified for CL, others have only the top 2, while the bottom countries only have their champions who get a pass. so England/Germany/Italy and Spain (aka top football leagues in Europe) always get 4 teams through. which is understandable, in order to make the competition ATTRACTIVE. would you even expect 4 teams from Azerbaijan to go through the final stage of the CL (or more than 5 teams from Asia in the WC)?!?!?

bro, when Africa, North America and Asia get better leagues, then they will have more spots in the WC... but you do know that winning the WC is not down to how many countries in your continent are participating, but solely down to how good your country's football team actually IS.

if a team is shiiit, then no matter how many from that same continent goes to the WC is irrelevant.
