Monaco star Thomas Lemar will be on his way to Atletico Madrid after the 2018 World Cup - The Spanish club have confirmed the development on their social media page - Liverpool and Arsenal are also said to be interested in the 22-year-old Frenchman Spanish La Liga giants Atletico Madrid have confirmed that they have reached an agreement to sign Frenchman Thomas Lemar who currently plays for Monaco. Atletico and Monaco have been in negotiations over the winger and have hammered out a deal in principle for the France international to move to the Metropolitano after the World Cup. The Spanish club however took to their official social media page that the 22-year-old will be moving to Spain after the Russia 2018 tournament.

This latest development is now expected to be a big blow for Liverpool and Arsenal who also have serious interest in the signing of Thomas Lemar. Thomas Lemar began his senior career at Caen in 2013 and he played 32 times for the club before moving to Monaco for £3.4 million in 2015. He has represented France at every level from U17 to U21 and made his international senior debut in 2016 against Ivory Coast.
