He was also said to have attempted giving bribe to a police officer.

Fadare was said to have died in a road accident along Jos-Bauchi Road on his way to Gombe where he was billed to report for his one-year mandatory youth service a few years back.

Immediately after his death, Abiola was said to have been using the deceased's degree certificate.

Oluwaseun studied at the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso.

He was said to have used the certificate to secure an employment with Maersk Shipping Company, Apapa, Lagos where he worked as a customer service operator for about seven months.

The Oyo State Police Public Relations Officer, Ms. Olabisi Okuwobi, told our correspondent on Friday that trouble started for the suspect when the command received an intelligence report that he had no visible job commensurable to his affluent lifestyle.

Okuwobi, a Deputy Superintendent of Police, said that policemen attached to Egbeda divisional headquarters placed the suspect's residence located on Olabisi Wuraola Street, Yidi, Agodi Gate, Ibadan on surveillance before he was eventually arrested.

When it dawned on him that the game was up, Fadare and one of his friends, Jide Alao, were said to have attempted to bribe the Divisional Police Officer, Mr. John Aku, a Chief Superintendent of Police, with N10,000.

When a search was conducted in his house, items recovered by the police included an ECOWAS passport obtained in the name of his late brother but having his photograph, documents of a bank account with Skye Bank, Creek Road branch, Lagos which he operated in the name of the deceased, an agreement of a building which he bought at Celica Area of Adegbayi using the deceased's name and documents of a new Toyota Hiace bus marked XT 215 FST bought at the rate of N2.6m and registered in the deceased's name.

Others are different declaration of local government certificates from Lagelu and Ibadan North East Local Governments bearing his name, a Mazda 323 car marked PH 875 GWA, documents of Toyota Camry saloon car 2007 model marked SV 730 KJA and the car's receipt of N3.9m among other items.

The suspect was said to have also used his late brother's name to process the documents of lands located in different parts of Ibadan.

Police investigation further revealed that the suspect sought the services of a fake lawyer to perfect the documents.

The lawyer simply identified as Olatunde has also been arrested and has made confessional statements to the police.

The police spokesman said the two suspects would be charged to court soon.
