Rumours have been thick on Apple working towards ditching the lightning charging connector that its iPhones and iPads normally come with and this time around they are looking in the direction of the now mostly acceptable charging connector standards and that is the USB Type-C.

The next iPhone supposedly iPhone 9 might just be the starting of the dawn of a new era for iPhones on the type of charging and data transfer connector that it Apple smartphone will be coming with.

Already the new MacBook and MacBook Pro have launched with this now standard USB Type C connectors and we are expecting smaller Apple devices like their iPhones and iPads to follow suit.

USB Type C connection cables uses the USB 3.1 version, which is now being adopted by many OEM on their new devices as this provide a better, faster and even more convenient ways of charging and transferring data to and away from devices.

And one of the things that makes the USC Type C connector is the ability for reversal charging, where users no longer need to start determing which is the head or tail of the connect and in what direction data will flow.
