Stanford university is awarding MBA Fellowships to citizens of African
countries who desire to obtain an MBA at Stanford University and
afterwards return for two (2) years to contribute to the continent’s
development.

Application Deadlines: 

Round 1: 18th September 2018
Round 2: 10th January 2019

Offered Annually? Yes

Eligible Countries: African countries

To be taken at (Country):Stanford University, USA

Eligible Field of Study: Courses offered at the University.

About the Award:

Stanford University is offering an MBA Fellowship program to six Africans who wish to obtain a Stanford MBA degree. The program is set annually to assist citizens from Africa study at the university, acquire essential skill sets for the standard duration of
two years and return to the continent, to work in vital positions that directly impact and improve Africa.

Type: MBA, Fellowship

Eligibility:
You must demonstrate strong ties to Africa, including the following:

You must be a citizen of an African country. Dual citizens are
eligible for the fellowship as long as you hold citizenship in an
African nation. Residents of an African country who do not have
citizenship in an African country are ineligible.
You must have completed, or be in the final year of completing, your
university studies. If you studied at an undergraduate or graduate
institution in Africa, we especially encourage you to consider
applying for the Stanford Africa MBA Fellowship Program. African
citizens who studied in countries outside of Africa are also
eligible for the fellowship.

Selection Criteria: 

1. Merit
2. Commitment to developing Africa
3. Financial need

Number of Awardees:Six (6)

Value of Scholarship:

The Stanford Africa MBA Fellowship Program pays for tuition and associated fees (approximately US $170,000) for citizens of African countries with financial need who wish to obtain an MBA at Stanford GSB.  Stanford GSB also contributes to room, board, and other living expenses if you have additional financial need demonstrated in your
financial aid application.

Duration of Scholarship:

Two years. Session begins September 2019.

How to Apply:

1. One-page resume or curriculum vitae (CV)
2. Financial information
3. Awards and honours
4. History of employment
5. Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) and/or Graduate Record
Examination (GRE)
6. TOEFL, IELTS or PTE ;exam fees, required only if you attended a
university where English was not the primary language of instruction.
