Many of you might not have noticed this, while some of you noticed that during Cristiano’s hat-trick celebration, all of the Portuguese players ran to celebrate with him except for one player who had to stay inside the pitch and wondered why. Could he be beefing cristiano?

Anyways, the player stayed back because as FIFA rule states, if all players are off the pitch during celebrations, the opposing team can kickoff the game. And i am sure you all know what that means grin grin grin grin grin

I know many of you didn't know this. Oya start confessing grin grin

whether its true or not, what I'm taking out of this is that playing football requires intelligence too.
football has just so many rules and players must remember almost all!

Liar! A football game cannot restart unless all the players of the opposing team are in their own half.

That's why teams prefer to celebrate goals in the opponent's half.

how about the goalkeeper..

Is keeper an out-field player?

The keeper's presence is what activates the restart because the opposing team can't face an empty goal.

All these rules are adjusted to avoid time wasting during goal celebration because it's every easy for everyone to abandon the field at the detriment of the opponent, all in the name of celebration.

Shut up! You can't restart a game until ALL the opposing players are in their half. Use google and stop arguing blindly

This information is bullshit. From what I could gather online,
Fifa's rules state that:
While it is permissible for a player to demonstrate his joy when a goal has been scored, the celebration must not be excessive.
Fifa directives also discourage the practice of choreographed celebrations when it results in excessive time-wasting and referees are instructed to intervene in such cases.
Although it is not a cautionable offence in itself to leave the pitch to celebrate a goal, it is deemed essential that players return to the field as soon as possible.
Interpretation is the name of the game, with referees expected to act in a "preventative mode" and to exercise "common-sense" in dealing with a goal celebration.

Here's a screenshot from FIFA'S official laws of the game handbook.
