1. Control cholesterol  level:  In our everyday living, cholesterol plays important role because it determines the overall activities of our cardiovascular system. Without cholesterol  the body system will surely malfunction. Cholesterol can be divided into two types because the two were carried by different types of lipoproteins. They are 1. Low-density lipoproteins (LDL) also known as bad cholesterol. 2.  High-density lipoproteins (HDL) known as good cholesterol. Therefore peanuts lower low-density lipoproteins and increase high-density lipoproteins. Coronary diseases can be prevented by taking peanuts because peanuts contain mono unsaturated fatty acid known as oleic acid. The bad cholesterol level is lowered with the present of cooper in  peanuts.

2. Protect the body: Vitamin E, found in peanuts help in fighting foreign invaders by maintaining the integrity of cells of mucous membrane in the skin.
