EDUCATIONAL Advancement Centre (EAC), a frontline Cambridge Advanced Level training and examination centre located in Ibadan, Oyo State, says it is intensifying efforts to equip more Nigerian students to study in Harvard University, Cambridge University, and other world class institutions abroad.

Speaking recently after the sendoff organised for the May/June 2018 set that had completed their Advanced Level programmes in the centre, the Dean of Schools of the centre, Mr Gbenga Adebambo, stated that the EAC had learning methods effective enough to be at par with the world’s best, capable of developing the learners not only to get university admission, but also to give them firm education foundation on which to build their careers.

According to Adebambo, not less than 80 per cent of the students at the centre who sat the 2017 A’ Level examination had Credit and above; and that the centre produced the overall best student in three subjects.

“EAC has become a Cambridge award winner annually,” he enthused.

One of the directors of the centre, Pastor Muyiwa Bamgbose, advised every parent whose children are still in the secondary school to encourage them to explore the Advanced Level education option, noting that the step would enhance their educational pursuits.

“Any student with Cambridge Advanced Level certificate in Nigeria has the privilege to proceed for skill development education either in Nigeria or abroad from 200 Level, with a tendency to finish with first class.

“Most of our students usually graduate with excellent results here or abroad. For instance, one of our students, Iyeyinka Omigbodun, gained admission into Harvard University on scholarship in view of her A’Level results obtained here. Another scholarship is awaiting her at the Cambridge University for postgraduate studies having done very well in her first degree education in Harvard.

“EAC has produced several students in that capacity. Your child can make it too. We have what it takes in terms of teaching and research facilities, as well as human resources to produce self-sufficient students for university education.

“Our international academic linkage with the Philippines medical programmes is ongoing. So far, we have produced three sets. Philippines is one of the countries in the world with the best medical education; and the cost of education and cost of living over there are relatively low. Philippine medical students in Nigeria will spend one year in EAC here in Nigeria before proceeding to Philippines to complete their programme.
