Apostle Paul finished his course and we all should understand that our courses have been drawn out by the Lord. The folly of comparison is that it lures you to leave your course and run that of another. Run your own race; make up your mind that you will not exchange your course.

In contemporary Christian history, there are people that God anointed mightily but they changed their calling because they preferred the calling of another minister. There were people that God called to be prophetic evangelists and they moved in great anointing as long as they abided in their course. However, they preferred the calling of a teacher and every time they intruded into the teaching ministry, they lost their own anointing and they were judged.

Charles G. Finney explained this truth by saying anytime he tries to teach all the things he knows in the Bible, he loses the grace to be a soul winner- the call of God upon his life was to be a soul winner. God is faithful and He will not leave you to yourself. Beware of measuring God’s faithfulness to you through the lenses of others. When you find yourself trying to arrange things for yourself, beware that you are not exchanging your call for what is not your call.

PRAYER: Lord, I ask that You show me the boundary to maintain in the call you have for me. I receive the grace to be patient and abide faithfully in the calling in Jesus’ name.

BIBLE IN A YEAR: 2 Kings 6:1-7:20, Acts 15:36-16:15, Psalm 142:1-7, Proverbs 17:24-25
