According to reports, three persons have been killed by gunmen suspected to be members of a rival cult group in Odi area of Bayelsa state. It was gathered that the cultists believed to be from neighboring community, secretly invaded the community at the late hours of Saturday, 23rd June 2018, and attacked one James Alex and others, who were at their resting place.

Residents said they heard gunshots and when they got to the scene, they found the lifeless bodies of three individual, identifying one as 'James Alex', an indigene of Odi community and two others.
