Mexico and Sweden have faced each other on nine occasions but only once at a World Cup, Sweden winning 3-0 in their opening group stage match in 1958.
Mexico have only lost one of their last five matches against the Swedes (W2 D2), however they’ve all been friendlies.
Sweden have kept clean sheets in three of their four World Cup contests against CONCACAF sides – winning two and drawing one (L1).
Mexico have never won three consecutive matches at the World Cup and could become the first CONCACAF team to achieve this feat in World Cup history.
Sweden’s defeat to Germany was their first in the group stage of the World Cup since 1990, when they lost 2-1 to Costa Rica.

I said it from day one that I want to watch only three teams in this world cup. Brazil, Portugal and Spain. I wouldn't know how my wife convinced me to watch that Nigeria match yesterday. While I was driving home, the president was on his way back from Jos and we were all stopped for over 30 minutes at the City gate. People cursed his unborn generations for moving and delaying us at that time Nigeria was playing. After they released us all, you needed to see Formula one driving along Airport road. I was on like 140km/hr and some people will just dust you and you won't see their tail lights in 3 seconds anymore. Last last, they broke our heart when they could have done better. Now is time to enjoy good football from whatever team in this world cup. I am supporting Mexico on this one. México por los tres puntos.
