This is the most useless company in world history.. U make money from Nigeria but recruit from outside the country Or worse still publish adverts almost every week but still recruit based on referral. If I become Nigerian president today... GE will be the first company that will leave Nigeria 4 Likes |

chyy5: I had interviewed with them in the past, 2012 or so. It was on phone, infact when they called I was on the road and I told the guy straight up. I dey inside danfo can you call me back ? He was like sure, in how many minutes? I said 20. Went home straight to a conducive environment and waited patiently for the call. 30 minutes later phone rang, he asked if I was okay now I said yes. Then said okay he will need to call me back in 15minutes to wrap up an ongoing interview process with some else on the line. Another 20minutes he called back. And we started the interview, it was just a initially a friendly chat then we went technical. Asked about turbines, it's working principle, sections etc etc , compressors et all Then he asked if I have a question, just asked him if GE is an equal opportunity employer (we all know the answer) but that question puts many interviewers on the spot. As in why would an employee in an over Saturated market care about this? Well next thing he said on the spot was I have been considered for the position and I would be contacted shortly. Asked when ? Said within the day. That day was a Friday , didn't hear from them until Monday I got a mail. Invite to ikoyi for employment letter N bla bla bla. It was this PGS project, unfortunately that same week was when Barth nnaji had issues with his company and FG award process. Dredging of the imo river for the gas turbines, Nigeria as usual took everything political and GE list that contract. We were like WTF? Moved to rig in next month . The happy thing was I got something with them, prior before then my friend were like Omo this company na ghost company we never see anyone that worked for them. Or even interview self I felt like a celeb then to have been even called by GE, let alone an offer. But there workers full everywhere na (Onne, lekki-igboefon, ABUJA), juat that dem no too dey talk. 3 Likes |
