Lagos State Government Releases Statement On Fuel Tanker Explosion, After Visit To The Scene By The Governor, Ambode (Details)

The Governor of Lagos State, Akinwunmi Ambode on Thursday night visited the Otedola bridge where a fuel tanker exploded yesterday, June 28, 2018, claiming so many lives and properties.

The Lagos State Government has now released an official statement to the press over the tanker explosion.

The State Government in its statement noted that its thoughts and prayers are with the families of the victims read and it’s commiserating with the families of the 9 victims confirmed dead as well as those injured or affected by the fire incident

The statement read;

On behalf of the Lagos State Government, we extend our deepest commiseration to the families of persons who lost their lives as well as properties to the incident. Our thoughts and prayers are with them in this time of pain and grief.

As a government, we would not relent in putting measures in place to ensure safety of lives and property of all residents.
