Mesut Ozil Breaks Silence On Germany 2018 World Cup Exit (Photo) by GisthoodBlog(m): 8:01am On Jun 30, 2018 |
Mesut Ozil has finally broken his silence about Germany's 2018 World Cup Exit. Ozil has said leaving the tournament at the group stage 'hurts so much'. 2014 Champions Germany were one of the favorites to win it again in Russia but they finished bottom of Group F and a miserable campaign. Joachim Löw's team started the tournament with a 1-0 loss to Mexico and then defeated Sweden 2-1 to keep their hopes alive. A must-win match against South Korea ended badly in a 2-0 defeat after the Koreans scored twice in injury time. Speaking for the first time since his country's exit from the World Cup, Arsenal's Ozil has said he was 'hurt'. 'Having to leave the World Cup already after the group stage hurts so much,' he wrote. 'We just weren't good enough. I'll need sometime to get over it.' Source:>>>SPORTDAB http://www.sportdab.com.ng/2018/06/mesut-ozil-breaks-silence-on-germany.html cc: lalasticlala
