Different people learn differently, same also applies to how they prefer to receive and absorb information.In a class of student, for instance, some students would prefer to have images explain a whole detail than a full page of notes. On the other hand, some other set of students would prefer to just listen to articulate. This is individual differences at work. Interestingly, it has a way of making learning easy for individuals. Below are some of the learning types peculiar to different people:

Visual:
Like earlier mentioned,some persons best absorb information when it is presented with images that creates a mental picture in their head. Such people love graphical representations, maps,pictures, cartoons,inforgraphics etc.

Aural/Auditory:
While some people love to see the information in an image , others love to hear it. This group of people have good listening skills and have a long term memory. So they love to hear stories or at best get a first hand information about something.

Read/write:
Also, some persons prefer to read and take notes of the information they have got. The note they have serves as a reference point for them very often. Such persons have great reading skills and high attention span.

Multimodial:
People in this group do not have specific learning pattern. They are skilled to adapt to any profitable and available learning type at the time.
