The 2018 World Cup is arguably the greatest of the modern era, but wherever good things go bad things are following closely. Here are four instances, in no particular order, where female sports reporters have suffered harassment from fans.

First, Colombian reporter, Julieth Gonzalez Theran was kissed and had her breast touched by a fan while she was broadcasting.


Second, Spanish presenter Maria Gomez was grabbed and kissed on Live TV just before Spain's shock defeat to Russia.


Third, Swedish football reporter Malin Wahlberg was grabbed and kissed live on air ahead of Sweden's clash with South Korea. The reporter carried on presenting despite the harassment, but the Russian man offered his ‘profound apologies'.

Fourth, Brazilian reporter, Julia Guimarães, managed to dodge a kiss from a fan and blasted him. Although he apologized, she told him “I don’t allow you to do that, never. OK? This is not polite. This is not right. Never do this. Never do this to a woman, OK? Respect."



There have also been situations where foreigners have asked Russian women to repeat obscene things while being videotaped and then uploading it.
