The Director General of the Buhari Support Group Centre (BSGC), Alhaji Umaru Dembo, has said the formation R-APC will not diminish Buhari’s popularity. “APC wish them a happy birthday…No one can start a party today and make any impact as none of them can reach where they are in a new political party within the Nigerian context, we shall see as the next general election is coming soon,” he said. https://www.dailytrust.com.ng/-r-apc-won-t-make-impact-259475.html DO YOU AGREE? kahal29: More comments Pls 1 Like |

For me I don't see them making any significant damage to PMB re-election bid in 2019. This is because the initial conditions that existed in 2014 when they first decamped to APC are no longer there again. In 2014 they came from a position of strength but in 2018 that position has been depleted. Furthermore a state by state analysis shows that apart from Kwara state where everybody seem to align with Saraki's Political position every other state involved in this political gamble have diverse interest at stake. Besides some of their so called members are nobodies in their state. In North West for instance Zamfara, Jigawa, Kebbi, Kastina doesn't seem to agree with them. In the case of Sokoto, Wammako is seriously watching Tambuwal moves to counter, Elrufai has its eyes on Shehu Sani and co while Ganduje is seriously waiting for Kwankwaso to do the finale battlel. In North East, Boronu, Bauchi, Yobe, Gombe are safe for PMB especially going from past election result. Atiku and Bindow will slug it out in Adamawa while Mama will battle Isahaku in Taraba. 1 Like |

odiks:Mr analysis, you should know by now that majority of the people who voted for Buhari in 2015 is now against your PMB's re-election bid due to abysmal performance and failure. Especially the whole Southern Nigeria and Middle belt. He tried 3times with only Northern votes and he never won until the South gave him their votes. Forget about Atiku slugging it out with somebody, the plan now is for all the political parties to untied against Buhari, find a common ground and a northern candidate, who would share the northern votes with Buhari, while the whole Southeast, Southsouth, Southwest and Middlebelt also vote for the Northern candidate to defeat Buhari in the 2019 election. Every political actors and parties now see Buhari as a common enemy, an enemy of a United Nigeria who must be removed from power. Exactly how they ganged up against Jonathan in 2015. 5 Likes |

Keep dreaming. Buhari has no bigwigs at his side again. And with the creation of state and community police before the election, be rest assured that he can't use them to intimidate opposition in their respective states. 2 Likes |

escodotman: Thanks for teaching him. I'm surprised how some ignorant folks think anyone decamping from APC is just 15m votes minus the number of decamped politicians. Do they think only politicians are against Buhari now? Can Buhari win again in Middle belts or have such votes he had in southwest in 2015?. No matter how loved they all claim Buhari is, he has never won with only northern votes until he was repackaged to get southern votes but this time, he will share his northern votes with his fellow northern rival from opposition while majority of southern votes and middle belts go to the northern opposition 3 Likes |

odiks: Imagine if Sule Lamido had decamped to the APC in 2015, he too will be boasting today that he delivered Jigawa to the APC. The truth is PMB delivered those who joined APC from PDP from what Babangida Aliyu and Sule Lamido are suffering from today, those folks are in Political Bermuda Triangle!!!! I want Kwakwanso and others to leave, let us know who actually saved who in 2015! Via D1 Ayekooto |

PDP should first learn to be an opposition party before they can be a ruling party. How can a fecking biggest opposition party be playing a politics of religion in a country where half or even more than half are Muslims. How do they expect to get to that seat by insulting a large group of people? The reason Jonathan failed was simply because of that and they refused to learn from it. It's the same reason, Obasanjo refuse to go back to that party. A religious card in a country where majority are Muslims. Fools. 1 Like |

OfficialAPCNig:tinubu influence is all over the federation because he holds the key to the city (lagos state) acn had governors ,senators ,house of rep in north and south before apc merger. apc was built on merger of ACN and CPC others re just bunch of paper weight politicians.except for few. apc will crumble to the floor the moment the ACN faction of Apc pull out. 2015 elections in south west was tightly contested due to the fact that pdp was still relevant then and effect of dollarization by ineffectual buffon. 2019 election in southwest will be a walk in the park for apc cos before then pdp will cease to exist in south west. for now all hands re on deck to recover ekiti come july 14. save this post till then pdp will cease to exist in south west after july 14 |

luvmijeje:they dont have any .they rely on sensational news on social media to spin and attack foolishly evertthing the ruling party does even it is right. we can deny that fact that bloc votes come from core north which re major muslims. ffk, reno omokri have done more damage than Good to pdp.cos they always make everything look like christains and muslims re at religious war. the core north will definetly pitch their tent buhari come rain come sunshine |

ArmedRobber: Let's leave the core North. The middle belt are majorly Muslim. Outside of Benue and Plateau, what other states there has a sizable Christian population? I don't even want to talk about the Southwest. SO why will any sensible Party play a religious card and still expect win a Presidential election. That kind of strategy can only work in the South East and South South. I want a viable opposition but right now PDP is failing in its job. |
