The Senate yesterday passed a resolution, urging the Federal Government to provide low interest loans to herders for the establishment of ranches.

The resolution is a way to address the clashes between farmers and herdsmen in the country, the lawmakers said.

The resolution followed the consideration of the report of an ad-hoc committee on the review of the country’s security infrastructure, chaired by Senate leader, Ahmad Lawan.

After debate on the committee’s report, the Senate passed 20 resolutions on how to address the country’s security challenges.

The Senate resolved that the nation’s basic security infrastructure needs to be reviewed and strengthened.

“The Nigerian political structure should be a major factor in this review, as well as the nature of the challenges the nation faces. There is a strong case for review of the nature of the Federal system, which should be pursued with responsibility and strong political will,” it said.

The report stressed the need to isolate current security challenges from political partisanship, narrow political interests and ethno-religious sentiments.

Senate President Bukola Saraki said “We will work hard to ensure the implementation of the recommendation to address the criminality and insecurity. We must separate the criminality from other issues.”

When you give them the money also tell them to establish their ranch in the North. We don't need no damn ranch in the South.

Another big joke.

These cows are owned by the likes of Buratai, Buhari, Magu.

Are we saying all the money they are spinning from public coffers is not enough that we still want to give them loans.

People of Niger Delta, see how your wealth is been used to fund terrorism, Islam and laziness.

What a crazy nation! All these nonsense will stop one day!

The preferential treatment Nigeria granted to the Northerners is what has brought this great nation to its knees...
Starting from basic requirement into unity colleges, WAEC, JAMB score,, e.t c.. Very few people with good IQ don't find themselves in power, but the dumb folks from the North backed by wealth find their way into political office, ministries, and security agencies.
I'm not tribalistic, but I think Nigeria might soon become an Almajiri nation with Weapon Grade Poverty.
Time to change the status quo and allow intelligence to prevail in this nation. Enough of rubbish folks wearing Agbada up and down with stolen funds, seeking political offices.

I recommend IQ evaluation of our leaders in the next coming election. Nigeria cannot move forward with these dumb politicians that we have in power...

Where was our useless southern senators when this injustice of a resolution was passed

Why did they not kick against this injustice?

Who is providing loans or compensating the victims of Fulani herdsmen?

Who is giving loans to the fishermen in the south to get enough fishing materials?

I want to say this... All the southern senators are useless, all the Igbo, Yoruba and Niger Delta senators are useless! They are rogues who careless about the development of the South, all they care about making money for themselves.

Cattle breeding is a private business, why should the Govt. Make it a priority?

One thing Buhari does not know is that, giving loan is one thing, getting people who are willing to sell their lands to this terrorists is another thing.

It's never about money or loan, from time immemorial, Fulani had always found a reason to invade people. Reasons keep changing from religious jihad to grazing route to political reason (death of sarduna)
