I’M NOT IN TALKS WITH OBASANJO, SAYS FALAE
The National Chairman, Social Democratic Party, Chief Olu Falae, says he is not in talks with former President Olusegun Obasanjo as far as politics is concerned.

Falae had met with Obasanjo about two months ago where it was expected that the former President would adopt the SDP.

However, Obasanjo adopted the African Democratic Congress to the surprise of many.

2019 ELECTIONS MAY NOT HOLD, PDP CHAIRMAN WARNS
The National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Prince Uche Secondus, on Wednesday in Abuja, warns that the 2019 general elections may not hold if the July 14 governorship election in Ekiti State is rigged.

He reiterated that the Ekiti elections must be free, fair and credible.

Secondus spoke at the national secretariat of the party while playing host to the Forum of PDP Local Government Chairmen who had paid him a courtesy visit.

I’LL SUPPORT IGBO PRESIDENCY AT THE RIGHT TIME – BUHARI
President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday said he believed that the Igbo had the right to the Presidency and promised to back Igbo Presidency at “the right time.”

He, however, solicited the support of the Igbo for his re-election bid in 2019, saying next year’s general elections would determine the future of the country.

Buhari, who was represented by Boss Mustapha, secretary to the Government of the Federation in Owerri, the Imo State capital, during a “mega rally” by his party, All Progressives Congress (APC), South-East Zone, said that the elections were “make or mar” for the Igbo.

APC CRISIS: OSHIOMHOLE IS COMING TOO LATE, WE ARE LEAVING – SHEHU SANI
Senator Shehu Sani (APC, Kaduna) has revealed plans by aggrieved members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kaduna State to leave the party.

He told reporters in Abuja, on Tuesday, that the new APC National Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole assumed office at a time it had become too late to reconcile them with the party.

Sani said, “I wish Adams has come earlier because like I said these grenades that were laid by the former chairman will explode in a matter of days.”
