The former Minister of Finance and founding member of People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Adamu Ciroma, has been reported to died in Abuja at age of 84,after a brief protracted illness.

A source from the late statesman disclosed that the man, who served as minister of finance under former President, Olusegun Obasanjo, government, from 1999 to 2003, died at an Abuja hospital while receiving treatment/

After Ciroma’s death news reach public, the former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, grieved over demised of the man whom he claimed largely influenced his political journey.

Through a statement by his media office in Abuja shorter after the late statesman’s death, Atiku said that the former minister passing away has robbed Nigeria of one of its finest statesmen who gave their best to their country.
