According to reports making the rounds online, a pastor prayed over brooms in his church and allegedly sold them to his members. According to the social media user who posted the pictures, the pastor anointed and blessed the brooms which were given to the congregation to use and sweep away evil and demons from their homes, offices and shops.

The church members were visibly happy as they collected the "anointed" brooms.

This pastor get better sense. He noticed the church and its surroundings were probably dirty and without knowing how to say it so as not to sound condescending to his members, he decided to introduce a spiritual angle to the whole matter. Typical of the average Nigerian whose brain goes into sleep mode when religion is involved, the pastor simply "prayed" on the brooms and declared an operation sweep away "evil". Psychology 101
