SARTRE’S ABSOLUTE FREEDOM.
Sartre agrees with the common understanding of freedom as absence of constraint. He, however, maintains this view in an extreme position by saying that freedom is absolute. In order words, to “exist” is to be free. Freedom in this perspective incorporates all aspects of human existence, which is summarized in an authentic self-assertion. This for him is why freedom is absolute.
