Job Position: Security Superintendent (JOS)

Duties / Responsibilities
• Supervises and coordinate the duties and activities of the security personnel.
• Ensure that the infrastructural facilities assigned to security for the protection of the entire company are in good condition.
• Ensure that rules and procedures are implemented and strictly obeyed by all staff; customers, contractors and visitors.
• Ensure that security personnel are properly dressed in their uniform while on duty.
• Investigate and report promptly to the Chief Security Officer/Factory Manager of security rules or procedures.
• Ensure and guarantee the safety and protection of lives of workers, company’s assets and visitors to the company.
• Ensure that security personnel are regularly educated trained and retrained in their duties.
• Issue and control security kits, such as whistle, boot and uniforms to the operatives.
• Write monthly security report to the CSO/Factory Manager.
• Check all security registers daily
• Patrol all beats regularly.
• Ensure security of all exhibits in security custody.
• Organize and coordinate employees’ fire fighter’s fire drills on monthly basis.
• Ensure proper record keeping of documents, information and correspondence on matters relating to security operations in the company.
• Ensure that no guard possess, sell or consume intoxicants, drugs or substance capable of intoxicating while on duty.
• Supervise and inspect all access area and potential penetrating points i.e. fences, gates perimeter walls to detect vulnerabilities.
• Maintain and enforce discipline of security staff at all times.
• Monitor the contract Guards and liaise with their employer.
• Carry out any other sundry functions and duties as may be deemed legitimately related to security assigned by the CSO/Factory Manager.


Qualification, Skills and Requirements
• Minimum Qualification - OND
• 3 – 5 years Experience
• Excellent communication and Supervisory skills.
• Strong and assertive skills.
