KADUNA: We Have Trained Over 12,000 Youths By Keying Into CBN Cashless Policy –Bizi Mobile
Keying into the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) drive in ensuring financial inclusion through the cashless policy, Bizi Mobile Cashless Agency has trained no fewer than 12,000 youth on cashless banking, while assuring that the partnership with Kaduna State Government will create several jobs.

CEO Bizi Mobile Cashless Agency, Alhaji Aminu Bizi disclosed this while fielding questions from newsmen on the sidelines of a two-day CBN Fair in Kaduna on Thursday.

“We have trained more than 12,000 agents and each has not less than two staff working under him,” he said.

He explained that as a dedicated consultant, CBN invites him everywhere they go to promote cashless banking.

Responding to a question on why the Kaduna State Commissioner of Women Affairs hinted on a partnership with his agency, he said that he was not surprised.

” I am not surprised, because I appreciate the efforts of his Excellency in ensuring the state is digitized.

“We had a cooperation with the ministry of women affairs, very soon, a programme is coming up,” he said.

On their plans to further promote cashless banking, he said that their target rural areas.

“We are focusing on the grassroots because in the cities there are banks, but in rural areas no banks,” he added.

On the job creating potentials of agency banking, he said millions of underemployed or unemployed can benefit from it.

“No sector will employ millions in Nigeria like agency banking. With N10,000 you can be an agent of any bank. With N10,000 you can start a business!” He stressed.

On the ease on conducting mobile banking, he said with a phone, if you dial short a code, you can transfer money to anyone or receive money, you can operate your account from anywhere, ” he said.

Clarifying on requirements needed to become an agency banker, he said that a must for every aspiring agent in a location to operate from.

” One of the rules for CBN you must have a location. Even mai shayi, a keke NAPEP rider can be an agent. Once you have an address to operate from.

“A provision store operator can be an agent. When someone comes, they can withdraw from you and someone else can deposit, it is cash in, cash out,” he explained.

Alhaji Bizi when commenting on the acceptability of mobile banking by Nigerians, said that as a new way of doing business, Nigerians are still warming up to it.

“To Nigerians, anything that comes new is like a fraud, until people get to know more about it and its advantages. People should believe in technology, technology is power,” he said.

Alhaji Aminu Bizi shocked many at the venue of the fair, when in his magnanimity, he promised to replace a Honda car belonging to a lady which was stolen while parked outside the premises.
