Surah Al-Fath, Verse 29:
مُّحَمَّدٌ رَّسُولُ اللَّهِ وَالَّذِينَ مَعَهُ أَشِدَّاءُ عَلَى الْكُفَّارِ رُحَمَاءُ بَيْنَهُمْ تَرَاهُمْ رُكَّعًا سُجَّدًا يَبْتَغُونَ فَضْلًا مِّنَ اللَّهِ وَرِضْوَانًا سِيمَاهُمْ فِي وُجُوهِهِم مِّنْ أَثَرِ السُّجُودِ ذَٰلِكَ مَثَلُهُمْ فِي التَّوْرَاةِ وَمَثَلُهُمْ فِي الْإِنجِيلِ كَزَرْعٍ أَخْرَجَ شَطْأَهُ فَآزَرَهُ فَاسْتَغْلَظَ فَاسْتَوَىٰ عَلَىٰ سُوقِهِ يُعْجِبُ الزُّرَّاعَ لِيَغِيظَ بِهِمُ الْكُفَّارَ وَعَدَ اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ مِنْهُم مَّغْفِرَةً وَأَجْرًا عَظِيمًا

Muhammad (SAW) is the Messenger of Allah, and those who are with him are severe against disbelievers, and merciful among themselves. You see them bowing and falling down prostrate (in prayer), seeking Bounty from Allah and (His) Good Pleasure. The mark of them (i.e. of their Faith) is on their faces (foreheads) from the traces of (their) prostration (during prayers). This is their description in the Taurat (Torah). But their description in the Injeel (Gospel) is like a (sown) seed which sends forth its shoot, then makes it strong, it then becomes thick, and it stands straight on its stem, delighting the sowers that He may enrage the disbelievers with them. Allah has promised those among them who believe (i.e. all those who follow Islamic Monotheism, the religion of Prophet Muhammad SAW till the Day of Resurrection) and do righteous good deeds, forgiveness and a mighty reward (i.e. Paradise).

يا أيها الذين آمنوا لا تتخذوا بطانة من دونكم لا يألونكم خبالا ودوا ما عنتم قد بدت البغضاء من أفواههم وما تخفي صدورهم أكبر قد بينا لكم الآيات إن كنتم تعقلون

Quran3 verse 118

O you who believe! Take not as (your) Bitanah (advisors, consultants, protectors, helpers, friends, etc.) those outside your religion (pagans, Jews, Christians, and hypocrites) since they will not fail to do their best to corrupt you. They desire to harm you severely. Hatred has already appeared from their mouths, but what their breasts conceal is far worse. Indeed We have made plain to you the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses) if you understand.
سورة التوبة, الآية 23:
يا أيها الذين آمنوا لا تتخذوا آباءكم وإخوانكم أولياء إن استحبوا الكفر على الإيمان ومن يتولهم منكم فأولئك هم الظالمون

O you who believe! do not take your fathers and your brothers for guardians if they love unbelief more than belief; and whoever of you takes them for a guardian, these it is that are the unjust.

Quran9 verse 23
سورة المائدة, الآية 51:
Quran5 verse 51

يا أيها الذين آمنوا لا تتخذوا اليهود والنصارى أولياء بعضهم أولياء بعض ومن يتولهم منكم فإنه منهم إن الله لا يهدي القوم الظالمين

O you who believe! do not take the Jews and the Christians for friends; they are friends of each other; and whoever amongst you takes them for a friend, then surely he is one of them; surely Allah does not guide the unjust people.
سورة النساء, الآية 144:
Quran4 verse 144

يا أيها الذين آمنوا لا تتخذوا الكافرين أولياء من دون المؤمنين أتريدون أن تجعلوا لله عليكم سلطانا مبينا

O you who believe! do not take the unbelievers for friends rather than the believers; do you desire that you should give to Allah a manifest proof against yourselves?
Sayyār bin Ja'far said: I heard Mālik bin Dīnār saying:
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو حَفْصٍ عُمَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ رَجَاءٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ حَمْدُونَ , قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ , وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ حَفْصُ بْنُ عُمَرَ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو حَاتِمٍ , قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مُؤَمَّلُ بْنُ إِهَابٍ الرَّبَعِيُّ , قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا سَيَّارُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ , قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ مَالِكَ بْنَ دِينَارٍ , يَقُولُ:

“The people are of different types, like the different types of birds;
«النَّاسُ أَجْنَاسٌ كَأَجْنَاسِ الطَّيْرِ ,

And each person flocks with those like him.”
وَكُلُّ إِنْسَانٍ مَعَ شِكْلِهِ»

Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said:

"Whosoever honors an innovator he helped in pulling down Islam.

Be firm upon the Truth!

Shaykh Muhammad Ibn Saalih al-Uthaymeen( rahimahuLlaah) said:

“Be firm, and do not change (your stance) because of the large number of attacks on you nor due to (their) being offended by your words. As long as you are upon the truth then be firm, for truth is never budged (by falsehood). Thereafter, defend (the truth) if you are in a weak position. There is nothing lesser than defending (the truth). But if you are in a strong position, then upon you is to attack (the falsehood). For the days take turns (sometimes in your favour and sometimes otherwise).

But (remember) the most important thing is that even if you are in a weaker position, then you should remain firm. And never say: ‘Oh, all the people are in opposition to this.’ Rather, be firm, for Allaah aids His Deen, His Book, His Messenger throughout the ages.

No doubt that you will face harm from the people. Here is Imaam Ahmad, he was dragged by a mule in the market and was whipped. But he was patiently firm.

And here is Shaikh al-Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah, who was driven around in the market on a cart and was thrown in the prison, but he remained firm.

It is not possible that the earth will always be a carpet of roses and flowers for a person who clings to the Sunnah (for he will face opposition and will be harmed by the people).”....We ask Allaah(subhanahu Wa ta'aala) to make us firm on His path...

*```��Wilayat can not be attained by one's self. It is bestowed by Almighty Allah. However, good deeds and virtuous behavior is a means of allowing it to be bestowed.*
