COMRADES OF NOWADAYS (STUDENT UNIONS) What Am seeing this days in the Student Union is disappointing and heart braking . We no longer have gallant comrades, the morale is dying . No body want to take the risk of taking what belongs to us. We have a right and we know, but fear of fighting for our right griped our mind. Comrades of nowadays only want to assume the post in the student unions for their selfish interests. The want to hear people call them sug excos. Sometime they want connection with currupt Politicians ; which we should be fighting. Also they cannot speak the truth because ; they will think in their mind ( if we speak the truth we wont be able to get money from this people), forgeting ; we are selling our future for peanuts, this people are causing sicknesss in education ( education is dying ) Do we still have the combatant, comitted comrades like; Segun Okeowo ( they fought for 50kobo increase in food cost from N1.50 to N2) , Omoyele sowore ( 1992 led a protest against Nigerian goverment , he was suspended for two years, dettained and turtured ) ,Iwilade judge( Afrika died fighting cultism) , this are comrades out of all to be mentioned that understand what student unionism means. This is a call to restructure student unionism. Comrades stop using student union to learn how to be a currupt politician in future . Students Union government need people who are ready to fight for the beterment of not Nigeria education alone it is for the beterment of Nigeria. COM. Students use ur time meaningfully o, as u study ur course also learn a practical skill! Because when u finish "unionizing" and graduate, u go dey waka upandan dey find work. NOBODY SEND YOU O! Be wise, student unionism no dey epp anybody o. Use ur time well, this country is a mess/scam/fraud/shithole. Dont say u were not told! |
