After months of anticipation and consultations, President of the Senate, Dr. Bukola Saraki and Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Yakubu Dogara and other aggrieved members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) might defect from the party on Thursday.

Last week, President Muhammadu Buhari and other leaders of the party, failed to persuade the Senate President to reconsider his decision to leave the ruling party. Saraki met with Buhari and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

A source at the meeting revealed that Saraki was presented with the offer to choose any position of his choice in the future APC government, but he declined.

“He told them that he has been humiliated and dehumanised by the party in the past three years, and that their intervention was too late,” the source revealed.

He recalled that the Senate President was arraigned before the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) and put in the dock like a common criminal.

“As if that was not enough, the Inspector- General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, said Saraki and Governor Abdufatah Ahmed of Kwara provided arms for armed robbers who robbed banks in Offa.

He was invited to force headquarters to make a statement. Are these not humiliation enough? “And now, they are begging him not to leave APC because the president is interested in second term,” he noted.

Other aggrieved lawmakers have been approached as well, by the party, persuading them not to defect, including Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State who had earlier said APC has given him ‘red card.’

Why are they now persuading them? After series of humiliation and their triumph over the humiliation.. One thing is certain, if Bukola Saraki leave APC, any party he goes to will win kwara state.

APC and Buhari tried everything to murder his person, but Saraki triumphed over them...

Saraki is one of the smartest politicians we have in this country.

Take it or leave it, Saraki and Dogara will be a huge addition to any party they join...

The long awaited death of the evil party is near, praise be to God.
I knew the God that delivered the Israelites would deliver Nigeria from the hands of the satanic party known as APC.
A party that has death as its official mantra.

Same Saraki that you you were trying to prosecute by all means some months ago.

Now you are begging him because you have a selfish personal second term ambition.

They should leave asap and stop the trolling.

They have been announcing their defection for over 3 weeks and yet nothing happened, they should leave and test their popularities against PMB instead of negotiating for impossible juicy positions.

Saraki has been the one clamouring for PMB's attention. He and his goons ought to have left now that he got the attention and not satisfied with the outcome of the meeting.

What is Saraki still waiting for?

I never knew Buhari and APC can be losing sleep on this issue of RAPC defection and beg passionately after all the initial gragra, intimidation, they even sue RAPC to court while oshiomole said RAPC will be crushed.

The same person you fought and humiliated using EFCC and Police suddenly turned out to be your friend just because you consider him valuable to your 2019 ambition.

Moral: Never fight your enemies with your two eyes closed, the person you despise today may be the one to help you tomorrow.

President Buhari really goofed from the inception of his administration and I pray he's consumed by his actions and inactions. He stayed aloof on national Assembly issue then thinking he manage those egomaniac individuals who.have different agenda to his. Forgetting they decamped because they could not have their ways in the former party. Having disloyal people heading national Assembly in an administration is suicidal. Imagine opposition led assembly!!!!

Political leaders of note don't just use emotions to act. They are tactical and deep so leave them to strike when it will be terminal for this useless govt!
