The members of the Society of Young Nigerian Writer (SYNW) and in entire writers community have registered their well deserved accolade and felicitation to their National President and National Publicity Secretary of Association of Nigerian Authors, Mr. Wole Adedoyin for his emergence as the Gubernatorial flag bearer of the Hope Democratic Party for the forthcoming 2018 governorship election in Osun state.
The was contained in a statement signed on Monday by the National Secretary of the writers' group, Comrade Izunna Okafor, who is also the State Coordinator SYNW Anambra Chapter, in which he described the victory as quite apt and auspicious, owing to the fact that our country needs youthful minds like Wole to resuscitate and regain her lost glory as a great nation.
Izunna, who eulogized the gestures as giving the youths opportunity in the political scene, also showered encomium and panegyrics on Mr. Wole, while recounting the innumerable number of diverse ways in which he has positively affected and impacted on the lives of the young ones, given the masses voice and manifested great leadership abilities stocked in him, which indeed present him as the best head for the cap.
Contributing, another young writer, Mr. Chidiebere Ojiego who is also the state Media Director of the SYNW in Anambra described Wole as the best choice for the party and for state, even as he noted that based on record, Osun state would be among the best to reckon with in the country in terms of good governance, development and efficient service delivery, only if her citizens massively throw their support behind Wole and grant him that full opportunity to serve and unleash what he has in him as a dexterous vibrant youth and an intellectual.
The entire community therefore pledged their unreserved support to Mr. Wole, even as they wish him well and divine grace in his September 22nd Gubernatorial bid.
Prio to his selection as the flag bearer, Mr. Wole Adedoyin has been a former pioneer Secretary of Oyo IPAC (Interparty Advisory Council) and former CNPP (Conference of Nigerian Political Parties) Secretary. In 2008, he was a recipient of the Oyo State Merit Award in Literary Art and was also nominated last year for the prestigious Future Africa Award in Education category endowed by the University of Sussex.
Wole is also a foundation member of the working committee of the Nigerian Content Consultative Forum ICT (NCCF ICT) and Association for Information and Communication Technology for Local Content (ICT LOCA), initiatives founded by Nigerian Content Development and Management Board (NCDMB) under the political administration of President Goodluck Jonathan to ensure that ICT practitioners are allowed to benefit from the Nigerian Oil and Gas Industry Content and Development (NOGICD) Act. He has Chaired political parties like Democratic Front for People Federation (DFPF), Peoples Mandate Party (PMP), United Progressive Party (UPP), African Peoples Alliance (APA) and Hope Democratic Party (HDP).
