Reno Omokri, Reacts To Police Invading Saraki’s Residence, Blocking His Convoy by Nwaforj44: 10:41am On Jul 24, 2018
Reno Omokri, a former aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan has reacted to the report of police invading on the Senate President, Bukola Saraki’s residence.

Omokri said what was happening to Saraki was an act of tyranny.

Men of the Nigeria Police Force had in the early hours of Tuesday blocked the residence of the Senate President.

This follows a summon on Saraki by the Inspector General of Police, IGP, over his alleged link to the Offa bank robbery.

Reacting, Saraki had stated that the invitation to him by the Police to report to a station in Guzape over the Offa robbery investigation was a mere afterthought which is designed to achieve political purpose.

However, Omokri, in a tweet wrote: “What is happening to @bukolasaraki is an act of tyranny by a leadership afraid of its own shadows.

“You can’t lay siege on the nation’s number 3 citizen as if he is a common criminal just to frustrate the suspected defection of people whose defection from PDP you celebrated!”

Why is it so difficult for Saraki to honor police invitation?

Does he enjoy any kind of immunity or is he above the law of the land?

And how does his arrest or invasion of his residence prevent his decamping?

He can even decamp while in detention. So?

I am not pleased with Reno's comment at all. Why make all these unreasonable statements when you have no fact to prove. The Spokes person of the Nigeria Police Force - Jimoh Moshood - has just said that the NPF is not aware of such happening. READ FOR YOURSELF >>> https://dailytrust.com.ng/we-are-not-aware-of-siege-on-saraki-s-residence-police-262404.html <<< Get knowledge Mr man before ranting. Come to think about it, how can the same police that gave somebody an invitation for investigation all of a sudden come and block his entrance from leaving his home to honour their meeting? Enough of the finger pointing on this government.
