Africa's Richest Man Aliko Dangote has revealed he will attempt to buy Premier League club Arsenal in the next two years.

According to Forbes, the Nigerian is worth $13.8billion, has been linked with buying a significant stake in Arsenal for years now.

Stan Kroenke is currently Arsenal's majority owner with 67.06% stakes of the club, while Alisher Usmanov has a 30.4 per cent share but has no say over the running of the club.

On Tuesday, The Financial Times reported that Usmanov is considering selling his stake after previously admitting that Kroenke is unwilling to hold talks over a potential sale.

And when asked recently about Usmanov's potential Intentions, Dangote has insisted he is still keen to buy Arsenal.

"We will go for Arsenal from 2020.. even if somebody buys, we will still go for it,' Dangote told The Reuters.

Speaking earlier, Dangote was convinced majority shareholder Kroenke would be prepared to sell his stake in Arsenal.

'If they get the right offer, I'm sure they would work away,' he said.

'Someone will give them an offer that will make them seriously consider walking away.

'And when we finish the refinery, I think we will be in a position to do that.'

The Gunners have only recently appointed a new manager in form of Unai Emery after Arsene Wenger's 22years stay.
