A 22-year-old driver, Musa, has been arrested by the Oyo State Police Command for allegedly defiling two primary school pupils.

One of his victims is said to be his former lover's younger sister who had been accompanying her sister to his residence.

Our correspondent learnt on Tuesday that the Headteacher, Araromi Community Primary School, Ayekale, Ibadan, Mr. Abraham Osunlana, reported to Agugu Police Station that a 10-year-primary four pupil simply identified as Maryam was observed by her class teacher to have fallen sick for about a week.

Osunlana said that when interviewed, Maryam said her classmate, 13-year-old Baliki took her to Musa's house in Olopometa area on June 4 and the man defiled her.

When the suspect was arrested, he was said to have confessed to the crime.

Preliminary police investigation revealed that Musa is a former lover of Baliki's sister, Nafisat.

Baliki had been accompanying Nafisat to the suspect's house until she recently got married to another person.

The suspect reportedly lured Baliki to his house on May 31 with a N50 gift and defiled her.

It was a few days later that Maryam also fell to the N50 bait and followed Baliki to Musa's house, where she was also allegedly defiled.

The command's Public Relations Officer, Ms. Olabisi Okuwobi, confirmed the incident to our correspondent on Tuesday.

Okuwobi, a deputy superintendent of police, said that medical examination reports had already confirmed that the two victims were truly defiled.

If I may ask, why are there too many pedo/philes and ra/pists in the Ibadan area?. One may think that Lagos will have the highest number of sexual deviants due to its population but Oyo harbors them in large numbers.
