Virtual assistants: what are the benefits for your small business?

Virtual Assistants are the ideal partner for businesses of all sizes and often, a Virtual Assistant is one of the reasons that a business can operate smoothly.

A Virtual Assistant (or VA) is a skilled, independent contractor, who is able to provide administrative and business support services.

THERE ARE MANY REASONS WHY YOU SHOULD HIRE A VIRTUAL ASSISTANTS FOR YOUR BUSINESS
Lower Employment Costs.

As a Virtual Assistant is an independent contractor, a business doesn’t have to be included in your payroll taxes, insurances or superannuation.

A Virtual Assistant is a business in their own right and will cover these expenses themselves.

Virtual assistants may be located anywhere, in your own State, other States or possibly in other countries.

As such, you don’t have to purchase office equipment for them as they work from their own office. Through the use technology, you and your Virtual Assistant will communicate and work together as efficiently as working inside your office.

This doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t pay your VA a reasonable rate – it means that you will be saving on other employment costs.

Delegation.

After briefing and giving your Virtual Assistant specific instructions on their tasks, you are free to focus on the revenue generating activities for your business.

You can give your VA tasks that your find repetitive, tedious and time consuming but are still important for your business to get organized but aren’t directly revenue generating. Remember – you don’t have to do everything in your business.

If VAs know how to handle customer enquiries, you can also task them as your customer service representatives who can engage with your potential and existing customers.

Multitask.

As a VA is contracted to your business, they are able to work on other tasks (potentially for other clients) whilst they wait for your feedback and input.

This means that you are only paying for the service provided, not for a staff member to ‘wait for you’.

Same Goals.

VA’s are business people and they know how to network, market services, communicate with clients and provide services just like you do.

A VA can be your business success partner. As you and your VA get used to working together, you’ll find that you may ask for suggestions regarding your business operations, or they may make suggestions where improvements could be achieved.

A VIRTUAL ASSISTANT CAN DRIVE YOUR BUSINESS SUCCESS
If you find that you are overwhelmed with the amount of work required to keep your business running, a Virtual Assistant can drive your business success.

Remember that Virtual Assistants are knowledgeable and highly skilled. When you find the right Virtual Assistants for your business, just like any other employee’s, be sure to “look after them” and make them feel valued
