2015 general election was keenly contested, verbal missiles were shot at dissenting voices, it was like the end to the Lugard conglomerate was in sight. Electorates were divided along ethic and religious lines, issues of economic importance were relegated to the background.

The election was eventually won and lost, the acrimony that followed almost set Nigeria in the path of ethno-religious destruction with different grandstanding emanating from different quarters and the intestine of our survival almost excised.

The chant of islamization to be supervised by the Fulani hegemonist rented the air, "patriots" vowed never to vote for Northern Muslim again.

2019 election is around the corner, the leading voices of islamization have gone AWOL. We see them hobnob with the "representative of the caliphate, an "unapologetic one at that". What has happened to their hitherto fears?

Those who swore never to ever vote a Hausa/Fulani Muslim are now running up and down for Pastor Atiku, Evangelist Kwakwanso, Prophet Tambuwal, and Bishop Saraki.

Nigerians, emotional bunch!!!
