Few days ago, I saw an advertisement on quora site from carnival cruise lines, a company with head quarters in Miami .I applied for the post of guest care agent and just today ,I got an email that I have been selected for the next stage of the recruitment process( shl test).

I just went through their site and honestly the job ,coupled with the position I applied for is striking me as a call girl/escort job.

Please any idea about this company especially the position I applied for?let me not go and endanger my life in the name of a job.

carnival cruise line is a very sound cruise company, and the job would certainly NEVER be about being an escort. some of these cruise have thousands of guests onboard and you will only be helping them with their queries... just make sure that you are indeed in contact with carnival cruise, and not some deluded scammer.

just so you know, they will NEVER ask you to pay for anything and THEY will arrange for visa and flights to the nearest port where you will board the ship (if you get the job)....so if they ask you to pay ANYTHING to them, then its a scam!

You have to thread carefully dear, Go to their site and confirm their official email. Email them to confirm the authenticity of the invite you got. I was nearly scammed with the name of Costa Cruise some weeks ago, if not for he fact that i was smart to have gone to their site to get their official mail and contacted them.

thats not entirely true because many cruise company go through recruitment agencies to get employees....the catch is to make sure that these recruitment companies are legit. again, so long as she does NOT have to pay for anything, and they are taking care of all the visa/flight issues, then she is all good.

remember, although the recruitment process could be via some agency, the interview and confirmation of employment will always be done by the cruise company, unless they tell you that they are a 3rd party recruiter/headhunter (aka the cruise company pays THEM, and then recruiter pays YOU, after taking their cut)

Yes they are using a recruitment agency

It's an old format, they will ask you to pay some fees for visa processing after 2 of 3 mails.

Lol,then they won't get me because I won't even pay one Naira to them.let me just follow up till there's a demand for money.
