We have not done enough for Abia - Shell Nigeria apologizes The management of Shell Nigeria Gas (SNG) Limited, that has been operating at Owaza community in Ukwa West Local Government Area of Abia State, has apologized to the Government and people of Abia State, particularly the oil bearing communities in the state for their long years of neglect and abandonment of the state, including the firms inability to return tax to the state and also engage in social responsibility programs for the oil bearing communities. The Managing Director, Shell Nigeria Gas (SNG), Mr. Ed Ubong, who led other top-shots of the multinational oil firm on a courtesy call on the Governor of Abia State, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu at the Government House in Umuahia, regretted their neglect the state and her host communities and promised to make a change.
