A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP), Chief Sunny Onuesoke, said the defection of Senate President Bukola Saraki from the ruling All Progressives Congress ( APC) to the opposition Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP) is a clear message to President Muhammadu Buhari that his administration has failed.

In a statement made available to Daily Independent, Onuesoke said he is not surprised by the development because no reasonable politician can continue to tolerate the misgovernance in the country under APC government.

“Saraki’s defection to PDP today is not a news to me because like I will always say what is good for the goose is good for the gander.

“What saraki did today with the Kwara state governor is a repeat of what happened and played out in 2014 during the Jonathan era.

Every politician needed a comfort zone to display his or her arsenal to the benefits of his people and followers. I don’t want to take it as a breaking news because no reasonable politician can cope with the current insecurity in the country.

” There is currently a total break down of security in the country and the APC that Saraki belong as no solution to the rampant killings and breakdown of law and order.

“Saraki was the arrow head of the 2014 defection scandal and Goodluck Jonathan did did not force or intimidate any NASS members or governor then not to defect.

“As for the governor following suit on what Saraki did shows APC is completely a party made up of strange bird fellows. With the defection of Saraki from APC it is obvious the centre can’t hold again in the history of APC.

“Thele defection of Saraki to PDP is a message to Buhari to resign and retire to Daura as an elder stateman" he said
