The Layer 2 MTU of an ONT HG8245Q2 for example is fixed as 2000 bytes. The Layer 3 MTU can be configured and queried on the WAN port. For an IPoE WAN port - the default MTU is 1500 bytes. For a PPPoE WAN port - the default MTU is 1492 bytes. |
