Water FC Light Stadium in Abuja to be Completed Next Year......Nureni Makanjuola

President of Water Football Club, Mr Nureni Makanjuola has said that Abuja Light Stadium the home ground of Water FC will be ready in June 2019. The 1,000 capacity community stadium will be one of the private owned stadium in Nigeria, Basic Sports in Nigeria (BSN Sports) repots.

Makanjuola, a FIFA license player manager is hopeful that the facilities he is putting in place geared towards helping Nigeria to produce the African, Europe and World best player. He also argued that Nigerian has the talents to win the world cup someday.

MK, as he is fondly called, has invested in Sports development projects that will attract the best football clubs in the world, which according to him will help, promote Nigerian footballers to play in top and best European clubs.

"Water FC Light Stadium Abuja will be ready for use in June next year, with this and other available facilities we have moved a step toward providing the best player not only in Africa but the world. Soon, top European clubs will start visiting Nigeria, hence our boys wills start playing for the best teams in Europe again."

"Aside providing facilities for Nigerian talented players aimed at taking them off the street, we also want to use the facilities to support government who is saddled with the responsibility of providing such for communities. Government alone cannot do everything, in Europe sports is driven by the private sector."

"I believe that if all necessary facilities are put in place, with the level of talents scattered in every nook and cranny of Nigeria, we have the capacity and ability to produce the world best player. Also, Nigeria can win the world cup if a long term well-planned developmental programme is duly followed."
