As Mr Udom Emmanuel continues to steer the ship of his administration, one would ask, does he really deserve a re-election for second term? This piece highlights the answer. 

UDOM'S BACKGROUND: Trained in the private sector of the economy, Mr Udom Emmanuel has demonstrated capacity in financial management since he came into the scene as Governor of Akwa Ibom State. His rich resume` which qualified him to lead the state in times like this has been proven. Udom Emmanuel has within the lean resources touched every aspect of the Akwa Ibom Economy. For a man who rose to the position of an Executive Director in Nigeria's leading financial institution, Udom Emmanuel remains the best Akwa Ibom has gotten for a time like this. 

 PERFORMANCE : Mr Udom Emmanuel's administration has touched every part of the Akwa Ibom State economy. Even with the lean available resources, Mr Emmanuel cleared backlogs of Pensions and gratuities left behind by his predecessors, even when the economy was booming. Workers salaries are paid as at when due, roads infrastructure has received a great attention as it is a panacea for Industrialization, ailing industries have been revamped, new industries have been brought into the State, the medical and education sectors have been boosted, etc. 

 SECURITY: Akwa Ibom State under Mr Udom Emmanuel has become a very peaceful place. Investors can only come to a place where there is relative peace and security as seen in this dispensation. There are no cases of kidnapping as was demonstrated by previous administration, armed robbery and cultism has been reduced drastically. The youth are positively engaged and as such they have no time to become the devils workshop. 

POLITICS OF INCLUSION: The open door policy of Governor Udom Emmanuel's administration is another commendable point of Mr Udom Emmanuel. Under his watch, the youth, women, elders have been given a fair share in the polity. Udom Emmanuel is interested in the general welfare of Akwa Ibomites. For Udom Emmanuel, Akwa Ibom State should be a political module of democracy in the country. 

For Udom Emmanuel, Akwa Ibom State should be placed first before anyone's interest. That is why he has stopped at nothing to ensure that Akwa Ibom gets the best. 

Udom Emmanuel remains the best for Akwa Ibom State and Akwa Ibom people knows that with him, the future is assured.
